Ine Back Iversen: From Hollywood Glamour to the Front Lines of Ukraine

Ine Back Iversen is a prominent journalist and media personality known for her insightful reporting and charismatic presence. With a career spanning over two decades, Iversen has established herself as a significant voice in the media landscape, renowned for her dedication to uncovering the truth and presenting complex issues in an accessible manner.

Born and raised in Norway, Iversen developed an early interest in storytelling and journalism. She pursued her passion by studying media at NTNU in Trondheim Norway and continued her education in acting and entertainment at NISS inOslo where she graduated with honors. Her career began at a local radio station, and quickly became a voice within the world of news and entertainment spanning across borders in Scandinavia.

Iversen’s big break came when she joined TV2, One of Norway’s largest media organization. As a reporter and later a lead correspondent in USA, she covered a wide range of topics, from entertainment to news mainly focused on in California. Her move to Los Angeles marked a new chapter as she began covering high-profile events such as the Oscars, Golden Globes, and numerous film premieres. Known for her engaging interviewing style and ability to put celebrities at ease, Iversen quickly became a respected figure in the entertainment industry, bringing a unique Scandinavian perspective to Hollywood.

Eventually this brought her to MTV where she worked as a red carpet host and social media figure with a weekly show on the platform MTV Play bringing the latest news from Hollywood.

However, Iversen’s career took a dramatic turn with the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Driven by a deep sense of justice and commitment to truth, she made the bold decision to leave the glitz and glamour of Hollywood behind to focus on more pressing global issues. This move marked the most important shift in her career, as she felt compelled to use her platform to fight for freedom and amplify the voices of those affected by the conflict.

Relocating to Ukraine, Iversen began working as a war correspondent, immersing herself in the heart of the conflict. Her reporting from the ground is focused on providing a raw, unfiltered insights into the realities of war, highlighting the human stories often lost in broader geopolitical analyses. Today she continue this work and are determined to do so until russia is defeated and Ukraine stands independent and free. A lot of her reporting is aimed to be both educational as well as emotional, to really reach the audience and give an understanding of the realities of this war. She have extensively covered key events including the siege of Mariupol, the battle for Kyiv, and the humanitarian crises unfolding in various regions.

In addition to her on-the-ground reporting, Iversen has been involved in various initiatives to support communities affected by this war as well as the heroic Ukrainian soldiers fighting it. She has organized workshops and provided resources to help local journalists navigate the dangers of war reporting, ensuring that their voices continue to be heard.

Most recently, Iversen’s work as a war correspondent has focused on documenting war crimes and advocating for justice.
